Product details & care

The MHW-3BOMBER Astra Tamping Base is a black support base for an espresso portafilter during tamping. The listed product is the base only.

The supplier image indicates a nominal 51–58 mm range. Portafilter shape and handle clearance vary, so please confirm fit for your exact portafilter before ordering.

  • SKU: CT6164
  • Configuration: Black tamping base

Portafilter, tamper, and other tools appearing in contextual images are not included unless separately listed in a confirmed quotation.

Dimensions and care

The manufacturer drawing lists an outside diameter of approximately 80 mm and a body height of approximately 59 mm. The holder is adjustable; Specifications: an extension of about 39 mm, so the operating footprint depends on its setting. Materials are listed as aluminium alloy and silicone. Place the base on a flat surface. Do not clean it in a dishwasher.

The base is the listed product; the portafilters, tamper, distributor, espresso press and station equipment are not a bundled set. Floating-component artwork illustrates a workflow, rather than a supplied-kit list.

Check the underside profile, spout position and handle-neck clearance of your own portafilter. A nominal basket diameter alone cannot establish a secure fit. Confirm the extension setting and support contact before applying tamping force.
